SUSHI!

My friend Van from above took me out to sushi last night. We got the california roll and one called the Lisa Lisa roll. It had eel sauce on top. It was so good.

Junior Banana Splits.

Afterwards we went to sonic and got some junior banana splits for a dollar. It was just the right amount of ice cream for me. It was pretty good, I don't like the pineapple part on the end. I don't know why they don't just make it butterscotch.
These are my friends Van and Lily. They are a lot of fun and I have been hanging out with them all week. I went to a movie one day and out to dinner another day.

DOGDE BALL!

We played dodge ball for FHE. I played one game and the first ball that I threw they caught so I was out, so that meant the I did not have to play anymore. I was really happy for that. It was fun, but I have nevery loved dogde ball, since I was even a kid. So why would I love it now? It is fun to watch people play but as far as playing I would rather not.

My friend Brent

This is my friend Brent that took me on a street bike ride. he is 34 and has been married twice. Also he did not go on a mission or get any form of education, nor does he have any desire to do so. So I don't see us going any farther than him taking me on a couple rides on his fun toys. So it is fun. He is kind and appropriate, So I was relieved when I got home. I actually feel kind of bad for him, he says he must not be marriage material, but at the same time he really wants to be a dad. Maybe it will come someday for him. His first wife he was totally in love with and they got married in the temple and one after five years she said that wanted a divorce, becuase she did not feel it anymore. She also said that there were not any other guys. But 2 months later she was engaged to someone else. It broke his heart and took him a long time to get over it. The second time he loved who she was but was never truly in love with her, and she noticed and asked for a divorce. A woman needs to be loved all the way through to keep it going. This one only lasted a year. So he owns three houses, three mini dirt bikes, one big dirt bike, one bullet bike, a four wheeler, and a boat. He knows how to budget his money well. He said that he makes a lot of money off of renting his houses out and buying things out of the paper for cheap and then putting them back in the paper for more money than he bought them for. So he makes a profit. Like a said nice guy but not what I am looking for.

My first Street bike/bullet bike experience!

I went on my first street bike ride. I always called these bikes bullet bikes but my friend Brent (the owner) called it his street bike. See the little tiny seat on the back? That is the one that I sat on. Brent gave me street bike 101.
1. don't smash the driver, (because as a man he wants to have children some day). So every time we stop or slow down he instructed me to put my on the motor part up front to brace myself so all my weight did not go on him.
2. When you turn lean with the bike so it will turn. It felt like we were going to tip over when we turned but I trusted his judgement and leaned with him and all turned out alright.
3. You must wear all the street bike gear, (big bulky padded jacket, gloves, and helmet). Usually he wears special street bike boots but he let me pass from those. I was going to take a picture of myself but I forgot until after the fact. I looked so big and bulky, I could not hardly bend my arms. But he said that I how I would be protected if we crashed. :)

I ended up keeping my hands on the front motor part the whole time we rode to keep myself from leaning on him at all. I did not know him very well and did not want my body to be against his. My arms started to get tired so it was a good thing that we did not go for very long. It was a lot of fun. So now I can say that I have ridden on a street bike. Woo Hoo!
Oh by the way if anyone knows how to rotate pictures after you have uploaded them, please let me know.

Cafe

We went a cafe in the Casino and got a sandwich. It was fun. I was so tired when we got Home.

The Rides

I went with my friends Mark, Herbert, and Joy. These are all the rides that made them hang over the side. It was fun.

The Stratesphere

I went to the Stratesphere on a date with Mark. We went all the way up to the top. Look how pretty it is.

TIme out for Women

I went to Time Out For Women on friday night and Saturday during the day. Hillary Weeks and Virginia H. Pierce came as well as a bunch of other speakers that write a lot of spiritual books sold at Deseret Book. The theme was a "A Joyous Life". So all the talks and music were centered around it. It talked about forgiving others and yourself, prayer, love, relationships, and seeing yourself as God does. It was really spiritual and cool. I am so glad that I went. Hillary weeks performed two or three songs in between each speaker. I love her music. :)

Tagged Again!

Here's how you play: tag 6 people by leaving a comment on their blog for them, write 6 really unspectacular things about yourself, and pass it on.

This is really hard becuase I don't have any children to talk about but here goes with my boring life.

1. My life for the past 4 1/2 years has been school, but through that I have found my passion for teaching children. Even ones with special needs. They warm heart and make me feel closer to the savior, becuase they are so close to him.

2. One of my most favorite things in the world is showering. I feel so relaxed, clean, refreshed and just better over all when I get out. It is the best feeling in the world.

3. The second most favorite thing in the world that I like to do is sleep. Every night when I finally get to go to bed I just smile inside to myself that I finally don't have to think and I just get to rest. It is the happiest feeling in the world to me.

4. I am not a morning person. I always push my alarm at least twice, and then roll out of bed. All my roommates have learned not to talk to me for at least 15 minutes after I wake up. Otherwise I will growl at them. Also they have learned to be very quiet when I am sleeping, becuase I am a light sleeper. Oh and one more thing never yell, turn on the lights, or pull my blankets off to wake me up. You will see a grizzly bear side of me.

5. My favorite blanket in the world are my soft blankets. (Ang and Mom will know who I am talking about.) I don't sleep with a top sheet so I can feel more them on my skin. I also sleep on my stomach and hold the blanket next to my cheek with my shoulder. It is the most relaxing warm thing for me. I think this is better than sucking my thumb like I did when I little.

6. My third favorite thing to do is cook for other people. Most everything I make turns out good, and it is a joyful thing to make other people happy through food. This might be becuase I love to eat food so much. This includes trying new food and eating all ethnic/authentic food I can find. I really want to travel the world and eat all the kinds of food there are. I like most it too. It really fun to do. Oh I also like to cook with my family it is a joyful, helpful time that we all bond in doing.

Birthday Cake

Mark got me a birthday cake and some ice cream. He wanted to do a suprise party for me but it did not work out. So I invited all my nieghbors, all 8 apartmens with 4 girls each. So a lot of them came and sang happy birthday to me and shared my cake. The frosting was a little much, but it was chocolate with a cream filling layer. It was really good. I thought was not going to have a cake or anything for my birthday, but Mark came through for me to make me feel special and loved on my birthday. Sorry one picture was dark, it was when I blew out my candles. WOW I am 24 now, one year older and wiser too. Right? I hope that I am wiser than I was last year. I getting to part where I am starting to feel older whenever a new birthday comes. :D. Thank you to everyone once again. It was so much fun.

The Sushi Rolls.

Here are the three rolls we had. My favorite one was the one with crumbly stuff on top. The second was the one with lots of orange eggs on top. The third one was a little to squishy, so I had to not think about it to much. The last bite I was to full and I gagged. But they were all so raw. But that means that had more flavor than a cooked one. They are so good!

SUSHI!

My friend Mark took me to Sushi Mon for my birthday. It was so good. It was cool becuase we could actually see the chefs making it. Here is a picture of my big mouth, see how the whole thing fits? We got three different rolls. We were so full. It smelled like fish as soon as we got in the restuarant. Talk about authentic and ethnic. Even our waitresses were asian. I want to go again. It has all you can eat for like $25. But I am pretty full off 1 or 2, so that would not a good deal for me. YUM YUM!

BIG SUNFLOWERS!

Here are the sunflowers a pair of twins got me for my birthday. I did not know that you could buy them from a flower store. They are huge, but fun. I can't look at them and not smile. It was really sweet. Some of my class made me a card, drew me pictures, gave me candy, a butterfly teacher pin, and some said that they were going to buy me a puppy or cupcakes. But they are only seven and eight. They would give the whole world if they could. It was really cute.

Thanks Nessa!

Here is the purple aligator bag that Venessa sent to me for my birthday. I think it is great becuase all of my teaching stuff fits in it, so I don't have to carry anything. It looks cute and professional on me. My neighbors and roommates call it my Mary Poppins bag, since I have everything in it and it is so big. But it is perfect becuase it still fits in my drawer that I put my bag in and fits everything I need to bring home from school.

Thank you so much to everyone that remembered me on my birthday. It really means the world to me and reminds me that I am blessed and loved. I had the best day ever. You guys are a blessing and sunburst to my life and heart. :)

All the versions of happy birthday were great. They made me laugh and feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :)

Hula dancing.

I wonder how they move thier hips like that. It is so fast. It looks really cool. Maybe if I learned to do that then I would get a date faster. :)

Hawiian BBQ

This is of the guys that were so hot they had to wrap cloths around their heads and of their yummy looking chicken they were making. I almost bought some. Food is one of my favorite things.

Hawiian food

I found this one booth with a whole bunch of dried hawiian food and candy. I like to try new things but some of these were even a little to wierd for my taste. It was cool looking at all them. Look at the labels to see what they are. There is crab, squid, pickled mango and more.
