Family pictures

Here I am starting school on August 26th. Ang got me a new luch bag to replace the cinderella one I usually used. :) The first day was fun but the second day was really fun. I have had my ups and downs but overall I love it. My students are so sweet. They want to please me and tell me how cute I am every day. Not mention the many hugs, smiles and laughs I get. I love to sing songs with them and do art projects. They are so creative. :) I have 21 students in my AM class and 18 in my PM.
On Monday I am going to start my first real normal week where I will have morning and afternoon the whole week. It has not been normal yet becuase of orientation, fair week, and meetings. Plus we ride the buses with the students for the first 4 days of school to help the bus drivers and make the kids feel more comfortable.
I have found that the town of Blackfoot kind of shuts down during fair week. We had only half days all week in all the schools so the kids can go to the fair. My mentor told me that the parents pull the kids out anyway so it is not worth the work. :) The library and pool have been closed all week. It is kind of weird but fun I guess.
Oh my mentor has been teaching for 20 years and she is fabulous. She is so patient with me. I ask so many questions and she makes sure that I am okay every day. I have so so blessed. I have a fabulous job, coworkers, and support. This is what I went to school for and it is paying off. I love every minute of it. :) It is so much work though! My new home is the school, I spend most of my time there, I go at 8 in the morning and come home at 6 or later every day. Then I go on weekends sometimes too to get ready for the next day. It is a never ending list of things to do. I wish I was a Super Woman sometimes. I feel so invited and accepted in the little group of eight teachers. OH yeah I do have an aid that helps me during my centers, she is a lot of fun too.

A real grown up job!
So I did about 5 interviews and got offered two different teaching jobs. I accepted the one here in blackfoot at the kindergarten center. I will have a morning and afternoon class. I am really excited. I will start going to meetings and stuff on august 19th. May God help me not to be to afraid.
For the summer I was looking for a PSR job (Psycho social rehabilition) I thought it would be fun, plus I would get paid 15-20 dollars an hour with my degree. But I soon found out that nobody was hiring until the middle of July. So I decided to just take the summer off since I would be starting my teaching job a month later. So I have been staying up late, going on dates, sleeping in as long as Royal will let me, and getting a really good tan. OH also I am going to camping for the second time this week, so I will have plenty of wilderness time in me.
I love camping except for the sleeping part. The bed is not very comfy, the wind blows sometimes, it rains sometimes, and sometimes someone snores in my tent to wake me up. This time the snoring stopped in about 30 minutes but it was still enough to make me want to throw something at them. The Food is so good though! :)

Easter Weekend!
We had a busy weekend with a wedding and jazz game in Utah. Then we went and soaked in hot tubs at Lava and played Laser tag. My Aunt, Uncle and cousin came from Maryland for the wedding and we had party after party. I love family but it is nice to go back to normal routines when they leave.
Easter dinner was soooooo good. We had chicken with Mango Salsa on it. It was easy and relaxed. We had a small easter egg hunt for the kids and everyone got along well. :)

Easter Bunny
Seasonal jobs are great. I decided to help be the easter bunny this year. Whomever made that stupid plastic head, doesn't know that the person wearing it needs fresh air. It gets so hot in there. It is fun kids are excited to see you and funny when some are act like you slapped them. It is funny to tease adults too, some are all about it and play along others think you are freak and want you leave them alone.
Even though I was a bunny, I still got a couple dates out of the deal. :) I thought that was pretty funny.
Everyone better be good, because I am the Easter Bunny's helper and if I don't think you are nice he won't come to your house. :)

Lunch with the Gals
This is to my Ellen, Meagan, and Jenni. We went to lunch the other day at Red Robin. It made me reminiss and appreciate the good times and cherish them. Thank you for all those, I will love you guys forever.
New Job
You know how I have been working at the mall in Pocatello and taking pictures of Sanat Clause. Well I just got a job for next week taking pictures of the Easter Bunny. I kind of like these little temperary jobs, becuase if I get burned out I know I will be done before I know it.
I am loving my preschool job more and more eveyday. My students are mostly done testing me, and will do what I say for the most part. Also I have had an opportunity to show them how fun and fair I can be. They have a desire to please me and love to play with me. This is the best part about teaching is seeing their success and joy in discovering life. So ultimately this is my job to help them experience life. They warm my heart and help me remember how simple life is. Also that happiness comes from the those things, not the big things. So when Christ says to be like unto a little child, he means to appreciate the small things in life, forgive often, and love with all your heart.

New Job!!!
Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything. But now I have something exciting to post. I got a job teaching Head start for the rest of the year. I am so excited and nervous. I know it will be good though. I hope I can do a good, job.
